Who we are

Shackleton & Drake LLC ("Shackleton & Drake," "we," "us") is a South Carolina limited liability company. We make DRAKE OS, software that customers deploy and run inside their own Amazon Web Services (AWS) account. This policy explains what personal information we collect through shackletonanddrake.com and our AWS Marketplace registration page, and how we use it.

What DRAKE OS does with your business data

DRAKE OS runs in your AWS account. The order, supplier, shipment and other business data you process with DRAKE OS stays in that account. We do not receive a copy of it, and we do not pool it with other customers' data. Access to your environment is controlled by you through your own AWS permissions.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a demo, send an investor inquiry, sign up for our updates or email us, we collect what you enter, such as your name, work email, company, job title, and your message.

AWS Marketplace registration. When you subscribe to DRAKE OS through AWS Marketplace, AWS shares with us a customer identifier, your AWS account ID, the product and pricing dimension you subscribed to, and your subscription status. If you complete our registration form, we also collect the contact and company details you enter, your preferred AWS region, and, optionally, your current planning or logistics platform.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider (AWS) and font provider (Google Fonts) receive standard technical data such as your IP address and browser type when you load a page. We do not currently use advertising or analytics tracking on this website.

How we use it

We use this information to respond to your requests, set up and support your DRAKE OS subscription, send the updates you asked for, manage our business relationship with you, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed for that purpose. These include Amazon Web Services (hosting, AWS Marketplace billing and subscription management), Formspree (delivery of website form submissions), and Microsoft 365 (email). We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.

How long we keep it

We keep contact and subscription information for as long as we have a business relationship with you and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal and accounting requirements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to those obligations.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or unsubscribe from our emails at any time, by writing to hello@shackletonanddrake.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, and we will honor requests in line with those laws.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including encryption in transit and access controls within our AWS environment. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our website and products are intended for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
